This was a little additional part  of Catherine’s senior session.  It was really fun to capture her life with her horse.  One of my favorite things about this horse is that for halloween one year she dressed up like one of the characters in lord of the rings and rode around her neighborhood scaring the daylights out of all the little kids.  I love how these images turned out!

Lousie Comfort and I have been friends for many years. I am incredibly excited for her as she is about to open her own yoga studio. I took some images of her in her home studio which will be used for her website and marketing materials. The natural light coming in from the side of the room really accentuated the muscles in these difficult and harmonic poses.

Today I had a great time with Hayley.  I have been shooting her for about 3 years now, and it has been fun to get to know her family.  This is a perfect example of how images can turn out so vibrant even on a overcast day.

I loved hanging out with Catherine and her mom for the morning.  Such great people and great conversation.  I photographed Catherine’s brother a few years ago, so it was really fun catching up with the family.  I must admit though Catherine was way more into the session then her brother.  I guess that’s usually the difference between boys and girls regarding senior pictures.  I made it a goal to only shoot at new locations and to also make the images really warm and inviting to reflect Catherine’s personality.  Props to her mom for being and outstanding assistant this morning!

Grover has a body building competition on Saturday in Denver, so we took a few pics while he is in competition mode.  I used some different lighting than usual and really appreciate how these turned out.

You may recognize this family from my baby gallery on my website.  Gia came into the studio when she was first born and now she is back for her second round of portraits.  She has such a spunky personality and was so much fun to photograph! As I was telling her parents, one of my favorite perks of this job is watching the babies grow up and turn into big kids.  I look forward to watching Gia and her cousin Ava grow!

Tyler and Krystle have an amazing story!  They are getting married at Pelican Lakes in a few months, and I am so honored to be able to photograph their upcoming wedding.  The images from their engagement session are absolutely beautiful.  We shot them at my favorite time of day for lighting.  WARMTH, LOVE, LIFE, FAITH…these are just a few words that come to mind when I look at these photographs.

Aren’t they adorable!  Dan and Darci are getting married in Cabo in August.  I must say this is a highly anticipated wedding for us as we have never photographed in Mexico before.  We are looking forward the amazing scenery it has to offer.  I love how their engagement session went!  They are so laid back, it helped me feel really comfortable as well.  Don’t you love the warm light from the color images?  Anna and I also had the pleasure of dog-sitting for them recently and have fallen in love with Sadie, their boxer golden / retriever mix. Maybe someday soon I’ll get some pictures of Sadie on here!

Jacob is a rad kid from FOSSIL.  We had a great time, and it was fun to try some new angles and lighting.  Jacob told me through the course of the session how he would like to have a creative job someday.  I can totally relate to him.  He is the third senior from his family I have had the honor to work with, as I have also photographed his older sister and older brother.  As I look back it is fun to see how different each of their sessions turned out.

I love new born babies!  They are so soft and delicate.  What amazing phase of life to capture.  They are only this way for such a short time, I am so happy to be able to help the parents remember. Anna is 14 days old.  I am excited to see her grow through the years.
